Wolfsonian Florida International University is a private research university located in Miami, Florida. Founded in 1911 as the Wolfsonian Art Museum, the university’s name was changed to Wolfsonian-Florida International University in 1998. Two of WF-FIU’s most notable museums are the Adrienne Arsht Museum and the Morsani Museum. The Arsht Museum is the world’s most comprehensive collection of contemporary art. The Morsani Museum is renowned for its collection of Caribbean art. In addition to these two museums, WF-FIU has numerous other research centers, including the Center for Computer Research and Cyberation, the Center for Tropical plants and Global Change, the Florida International Poison Control Center, the Institute for Seismic Studies, the Institute for the Study of Human Activity, and the W.
